Hampton Lake Fundraiser Features Shannon Tanner; Raises $1,500 for Local Charities

Bluffton, S.C. – Packing in a crowd of more than 300, the SummerFest event held at Hampton Lake, June 19th featured the popular Shannon Tanner and raised over $700 for the Bluffton Boys and Girl’s Club. The Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) Booster Club hosted a hamburger and hot dog grill that raised more than $800 for their program during the evening event. 

“We had a tremendous turnout,” said Gerrit Albert, president of the award-winning lakeside community. “We were thrilled to host Shannon Tanner as well as have the opportunity to hold an event benefitting such great organizations as the Boys and Girl’s Club and JROTC.”     

Guests were treated to complimentary boat tours around the lake before the concert and fishing poles and bait were set up on the docks encouraging visitors to try their hand at fishing; a popular recreation at the lakeside community.

The community’s next public event is its July 24th (10am – 5pm) Open House. The community’s model homes will be on display and Backwater Bill’s will be open to the public for lunch (reservations encouraged, credit card only please.)
